Bawn Textiles is a fabric shop situated in the South Side of Glasgow on Pollokshaws Rd; it prides itself on being an ethical textile atelier - stocking responsibly sourced materials and haberdashery and a venue for sewing workshops.
Our relationship with Bawn Textiles started when we were asked to make a table top engraved with a large ruler for measuring and cutting fabrics. A while later we were commissioned to make several other large pieces for the shop including; a trolley for holding fabrics, a set of shelves, pegbaords, display cases, storage units and a reception desk with shelves. All of these pieces of furniture were made from birch plywood and hand varnished to finish.

Bevan had some really good ideas about what type of furniture she wanted to have in the shop. She was able to share sketches and photographs that all helped in the planning stages. Her love of Birch Plywood created a space that was both light and bright and complimented the fabrics.
