A Classic Family Kitchen

A rich and sumptuous use of colour and materials come together to create a beautiful family kitchen.

The Macindoe's wanted a kitchen and dining space that was going to be both stylish and practical for all their kitchen needs. They were keen to have a long worktop with deep drawers instead of cupboards. Having looked at different styles they decided on a Shaker style with a geneorous corner pantry cupboard. The Macindoe family and all of us at ThreeFourFive Furniture are delighted with the end result.

The Kitchen Island

What was important to the family was to have an island that would encourage a sense of togetherness while spending time in the kitchen. This clever island holds a hob and conceals a dishwasher and wine rack at the opposite end. The white Hi-Macs worktop gives a lovely shiny, hygienic finish and contrasts beautifully with the dark Sapele sides, fixed in a panel effect.

Drawers, Drawers and more Drawers...

This kitchen really does have a lot of drawers, allowing for ample storage. Claire decided to have rich dark blue paint that contrasts nicely with the white worktop and bronze plated handles.

What we used this time around

Sapele

A golden to dark reddish brown colour, Sapele gives a rich and retro vibe. A fantastic choice for any furniture or kitchen if you love mid-century design.

Birch Plywood

A lovely neutral wood surface, with excellent structural properties. Due to its strong core it lends itself to any handle design. Choose from plain Birch Plywood or a selection of veneers - Oak, Ash, London Plane, Sapele & more.

Hi - Macs

This material has great capabilities; it is functional, durable, aesthetically pleasing to the eye and is so hygienic. With these properties, solid surface material is able to meet the maximum standards known for a first-class construction material in the kitchen, the bathroom, as as living areas. The technical characteristics of HI-MACS® and the wide range of colours available provide every user the possibility of creative design. You can order your worktop with or without a sink/drainage grooves.
